MAINTENANCE

Periodic maintenance with functional verification and validation of a cabinets is generally scheduled every six months or annually with reference to the current EN-12469 standards.

The scheduled maintenance is necessary for maintaining a correct functioning of the cabinets over time, but above all for the current regulation UNI-EN 12469 which requires the verification with regular intervals at least annually of the parameters found, this to ensure both the safety parameters for products treated under the hood, that the safety for the operator and the surrounding environment as prescribed by Legislative Decree 81/2008.

BioAir is able to provide customized contract proposals only for validations, or in combination with other types of services you need, on Biohazard Cabinets, Biological Cabinets, Chemical Cabinets, Suction Hoods, Safety Cabinets and Vacuum Suction Cups and Arms Aspirants of any brand by performing the following operations:

The following operations are performed for laminar flow hoods:
(Reg. Reference EN 12469 or Manufacturer's specifications)

  • Smoke Test with the use of the Flow Marker with non-toxic steam
  • Anemometric verification of flow flows and (where applicable) air speed in expulsion and calculation of the front barrier
  • Check class contamination work area (ISO 14644 Annex 1)
  • Filter integrity check (Leak test / DOP)
  • Verification Lux - UVC (where applicable) in the work area
  • Phonometric verification of noise emitted
  • Verification of functionality of all electrical and mechanical parts

The following operations are performed for the fume hoods or for total expulsion:
(Reg. Reference EN 14175 UNICHIM 192/03 2013 or as manufacturer's specifications) or for recirculating hoods (Normative Ref AFNOR NF X15-211)

  • Smoke Test with the use of the Flow Marker with non-toxic steam
  • Frontal suction speed profile
  • Verification Lux - UVC (where applicable) in the work area
  • Phonometric verification of noise emitted
  • Verification of functionality of all electrical and mechanical parts
  • The instruments used by BioAir are regularly subjected to calibration by accredited laboratories

At the end of each maintenance, a certificate of verification and measurements is released where the measured values ​​will be reported, and a Log Book will also be left, which will be constantly updated after each maintenance visit, in order to have a history of the checks carried out, a tag will be applied on the Cabinets with the reference of the last visit made and indicated the month of the next maintenance visit.
